Sigma Pi Sigma Honor Society
Founded nationally in 1925 and established at the University of Richmond in 1932, the official honor society of the physics profession has been a continuous presence on the Richmond campus for over 75 years. There are now over 400 chapters across the United States, boasting more than 58,000 members. Physics students are usually inducted into the society during their third year, and membership conveys the right to wear the Sigma Pi Sigma stole at graduation.
